Pathology Labs, Kidney Dialysis Departments, Maternity Wards, and Any Location in Your Hospital where Bacteria-Free Water is Essential, will Benefit from UV Water Purification.

These Ultraviolet Water Purification Systems require limited attention. They operate without the danger of overdosing or undesirable reactions that can be associated with chemicals. No residue is left behind. The SANITRON® UV Water Purifier is an efficient and cost-effective solution that ensures purified water for your hospital.
How do Ultraviolet Water Purification Systems Create the Purified Water My Hospital Needs?

The overall advantage of the SANITRON ® Ultraviolet Water Purification Systems is their effectiveness. Virtually all microorganisms are susceptible to ultraviolet disinfection. STER-L-RAY ®
Germicidal Lamps are shortwave, low-pressure tubes that produce ultraviolet wavelengths lethal to microorganisms. Successful purification depends on the proper dose of UV light needed for the particular organisms to be inactivated. The SANITRON®
provides water flowing in the disinfection chamber with adequate germicidal dosage through exposure time and intensity of ultraviolet wavelengths. Ultraviolet rays directly strike the microorganism in the chamber to achieve inactivation.
Selecting the Correct UV Water Purifier for Microorganism Inactivation

SANITRON® water purifiers, when utilized at or below the recommended flow rate, will destroy most microorganisms present in clear water. The water purifier can always achieve more UV dosage by operating at a lower than recommended flow rate. Small and compact units that may be suitable in healthcare settings can operate between 120-1,200 gallons per hour. Larger units can provide 25,000 gallons per hour or more. SANITRON® Model S5,000C
provides maximum flexibility. Additional units can be easily added as your process changes over time. Larger units can be configured in a parallel series with reserve chambers that provide system shutdown and replacement of individual components without service interruption.
Economical and Easy to Maintain

UV purification is economical with hundreds of gallons purified for each penny of operation cost. The lamps require little energy to operate. They produce the necessary UV dosage to destroy unwanted microorganisms without generating an abundance of heat. Integrated features allow for ease of installation and maintenance. UV lamp change and quartz sleeve cleanings occur without a full system shut-down, providing a continuous supply of purified water—a feature unique to the SANITRON® product line. No special training or tools are required. Most applications may not require a system monitor. However, optional monitors are available which provide an audible alert, system shut-down, or a combination of both depending on your hospital’s needs.
